Our building spent sixty years stamping brackets for the cars that roll out of Zuffenhausen. When the presses went quiet, we kept the sawtooth roof, the crane rails and the oil-darkened oak floor — and turned the whole thing into a hostel for people who plan holidays around track days.

Every detail borrows from the 911: round headlamp reading lights, Pepita-check curtains, a five-dial clock wall in the lobby, and door handles cast from the same pattern as a '73 Carrera RS pull. It is not a museum. It is a place to sleep cheaply, eat well and argue about air-cooled versus water-cooled until last orders.
